The EDPS Press service serves a two-fold objective: to follow media coverage on data protection, and to promote the EDPS' views and activities towards the press.
The majority of the press releases relate to sectors' activities, in Consultation and Supervision, having a general public relevance. This would typically concerns legislative opinions or comments, reactions on meaningful developments in data protection (e.g. Court cases), as well as substantive issues in supervision, such as publication of compliance reports or guidelines on topical issues.
