The EDPS and INRIA organised on 31st May 2023 an Internet Privacy Engineering Network (IPEN) event on explainable artificial intelligence (XAI). With this event, the EDPS wanted to stimulate a discussion in order to clarify the expectations regarding the XAI, its limitations and misunderstandings.
CPDP is an annual conference on privacy matters hosted in Brussels.
The event gathers academics, lawyers, practitioners, policy-makers, industry and civil society from all over the world, offering them an arena to exchange ideas and discuss the latest emerging issues and trends in the digital sphere.

On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the entry into application of the General Data Protection Regulation, the European Data Protection Supervisor, the German Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, and the Bavarian Data Protection Commissioner organise the high-level event: “5th Anniversary of the GDPR: Still a benchmark in the EU digital landscape?”.
To celebrate Europe Day, which marks the 73th anniversary of the 'Schuman declaration' symbolising the beginning of what is now the European Union - a unified continent providing Europeans with rights, opportunities and security, the European institutions open their doors to the public, to present their activities. The EDPS, together with the EDPB, will be present with a booth in Brussels on Saturday 6th of May, and in Strasbourg on Saturday 13th of May.
