Tous les jours, vos informations personnelles sont collectées, partagées, utilisées et stockées par des personnes, des organisations et des pouvoirs publics. Les procédures de recrutement, la vidéosurveillance et la collecte de données de santé n’en sont que quelques exemples. La tâche du contrôleur européen de la protection des données (CEPD) est de veiller à ce que les institutions et organes européens respectent vos droits lorsqu'ils traitent vos données personnelles. Le Comité Européen de la Protection des Données (EDPB) est un organe européen indépendant qui contribue à l’application cohérente des règles en matière de protection des données au sein de l’Union européenne et encourage la coopération entre autorités de l’UE chargées de la protection des données.

Le CEPD tiendra un stand au sein de la Commission européenne dans le cadre des célébrations de la Journée de l’Europe, au rez-de-chaussée du Berlaymont.

Le personnel du CEPD et EDPB y répondra aux questions que vous vous posez sur vos droits à la vie privée et la façon de protéger vos informations personnelles. The European Data Protection Supervisor and ENISA organize a conference in Brussels on the 4th of April 2019 in personal data breach notification.

The conference aims to address the aspect of assessing the risk of personal data breaches under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - (EU) 2016/679 and the Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 for the processing of personal data by EU Institutions and bodies.

In light of the upcoming European Parliament elections, and numerous other national elections scheduled for 2019, the EDPS is facilitating a conversation between data protection authorities, electoral regulators, audio-visual regulators, media & platforms in the fight against online manipulation of personal data in elections.

The annual Computers, Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP) conference will take place between 30 January - 1 February at Les Halles de Schaerbeek and Area42 in Brussels. The CPDP conference offers the cutting edge in legal, regulatory, academic and technological development in privacy and data protection. The four day event gathers together academics, lawyers, practitioners, policy-makers, computer scientists and civil society from all over the world to exchange ideas and discuss the latest emerging issues and trends. As in previous years, CPDP2019 offers a compelling and diverse line-up on speakers and panels, helping to make it one of the leading data protection conferences in Europe and around the world.

CDPD2019 adopts “Data Protection & Democracy” as its overarching theme, paving the way for a timely and thorough discussion over a broad range of ethical, legal and policy issues related to new technologies and data analytics. The conference will offer more than 80 panels addressing current debates in the area of information technology, privacy, and data protection.

The preliminary programme for CPDP2019 has been released and the line-up contains excellent panels.
