Der Ausschuss der Konvention 108 freut sich, die erste Ausgabe des Stefano Rodotà-Preises bekanntgeben zu können, mit dem innovative und originelle wissenschaftliche Forschungsprojekte im Bereich des Datenschutzes hervorgehoben werden sollen.

Dieser Preis wird zu Ehren und zum Gedenken an den italienischen Professor und Politiker Stefano Rodotà verliehen.

Ziel dieser Initiative ist es, die Überlegungen zum Datenschutz voranzutreiben und entsprechende Politiken zu entwickeln, und gleichzeitig kreative und qualitativ hochwertige Projekte aus dem akademischen Sektor besser sichtbar zu machen.

Press release on the upcoming 2018 International Conference.

On 1 October, Convention 108 and its additional Protocol regarding supervisory authorities and transborder data flows entered into force in respect of Cabo verde and Mexico, bringing the total number of Parties to the Convention to 53 countries. Together with the countries participating as observers in the Committee of Convention 108, it’s 70 countries that work together on the rights to privacy and data protection.
