Research & Science

Data-enabled science, or science based upon the processing of personal data, offers enormous benefits to scientific research. The EU is a key player in this revolution, for instance through the European Open Science Cloud, an infrastructure for the sharing of scientific data. The EDPS is also an enabler in this area, making sure that research, innovation and data protection progress hand in hand.
