PATRICIA III is the third edition of a table-top cyberexercise, named “Personal dATa bReach awareness In Cybersecurity Incident hAndling” (PATRICIA). The exercise takes place on 12 March 2026 from 08:30 to 16:45 at the European Commission, aimed to raise awareness among European Union Institutions, Bodies and Agencies (EUIBAs) staff about personal data breach management.
On 12 February 2026, the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) and the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) Trainees organise the conference Data takes flight: Navigating privacy at the airport at the European Parliament and online. The conference will raise awareness about what happens to personal data when travelling by air and encourage a critical and informed discussion about data protection, security, and the usage of personal data in this context.
Data Protection Day (28 January) celebrates the signing of Convention 108, the first legally binding treaty protecting privacy in the digital age. To mark the occasion, the Council of Europe (CoE) and the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) are co-organising a one-day event focused on new frontiers in data protection. The conference will explore the challenges and opportunities that arise when innovation and emerging technologies intersect with privacy risks and the regulatory framework.
The digital regulatory landscape now extends beyond data protection, consumer protection and competition law. In response to rapid technological and regulatory developments, the EDPS invites you to discuss the future of cross-regulatory cooperation.
The 20th edition of the International Organisations Workshop will be held on 25–26 September 2025. The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) are co-hosting IOW 2025, the International Organisations Workshop on data protection. The event will take place in Paris at UNESCO headquarters, as well as online.
