Grenzen, Asyl, Migration

Menschen wollen aus unterschiedlichen Gründen und über verschiedene Wege in die EU einreisen: sei es aus Gründen der Familienzusammenführung, beruflichen oder geschäftlichen Gründen, zu Bildungszwecken, aber auch um politischer Unterdrückung oder Krieg zu entfliehen. Die Behörden der EU-Mitgliedstaaten müssen beim Grenzmanagement zusammenarbeiten, um für die Sicherheit unserer Grenzen zu sorgen. Sie tragen zudem eine gemeinsame Verantwortung dafür, Asylsuchende EU-weit gleich zu behandeln. Eine Reihe von Mechanismen zum Informationsaustausch – was auch die Sammlung und den Austausch von Informationen über Nicht-EU-Bürger umfasst – spielen eine zentrale Rolle bei der Zusammenarbeit der Behörden in den Bereichen Migration und Asyl.

The EDPS publishes an Opinion on the Proposal for a Regulation establishing a common system for the return of third-country nationals staying illegally in the EU. The objective of the Proposal is to ensure the effective return and re-admission of third-country nationals illegally staying in the EU by providing Member States with simplified and common rules.
