G7 DPA Roundtable
The 5th G7 Data Protection and Privacy Authorities Roundtable took place on 18 to 19 June in Ottawa, Canada.

The EU has set up a number of large-scale IT systems including Eurodac; the Visa Information System; the Schengen Information System; the Customs Information System; the Internal Market Information System.
The supervision of these databases is shared between the national Data Protection Authorities and the EDPS.
In order to ensure a high and consistent level of data protection, national DPAs and the EDPS work together to coordinate the supervision of these databases.

EDPS Formal comments on the draft Commission Implementing Decisions amending Decisions C(2021) 5052 and C(2021) 5053 laying down technical details for European search portal user profiles, pursuant to Article 8(2) of Regulation (EU) 2019/817 and Article 8(2) of Regulation (EU) 2019/818.
On 3 June 2025, the EDPS, the BfDI, and the BayLfD are organising a high-level debate to reflect on recent developments relating to the EU's Digital Rulebook. The event will focus on the need for a consistent and coherent implementation of the GDPR and the EU Digital Rulebook and cooperation between the different digital regulators to protect citizens, foster innovation, and support the Union's competitiveness. The event is kindly hosted by the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the European Union.
EDPS Formal comments on the draft Implementing Regulation laying down rules for the application of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 as regards procedural arrangements for peer reviews of electronic identification schemes and for cooperation on the organisation of such reviews within the Cooperation Group and repealing Implementing Decision (EU) 2015/296
CPDP is an annual conference on privacy and data protection hosted in Brussels. In 2025, it will take place from 21 to 23 May.
The EDPS will organise two panels on Artificial Intelligence and Data Protection. EDPS' experts will also participate as speakers in other panels and the Supervisor will deliver the conference's closing remarks.
