Biometrie

Im dritten Tätigkeitsjahr investierte der Europäische Datenschutzbeauftragte (EDSB) weiterhin in den Aufbau einer fortschrittlichen Datenschutzkultur in den Organen und Einrichtungen der Gemeinschaft. Seit 2004 wurden fast 150 Vorabkontrollen bedenklicher Verarbeitungssysteme durchgeführt und 25 Stellungnahmen zu Vorschlägen für neue Rechtsvorschriften abgegeben. Es ist jetzt an der Zeit für den EDSB, seine Aufsichtsaktivitäten auszuweiten und mit Inspektionen und der Messung von Ergebnissen zu beginnen.
